This is not a history of Dalmatia properly speaking. This is a window into one part of Dalmatia's long story as told by the people who were there. There is plenty of history involved and I give context for how the places that our travelers saw have changed, but this is no textbook.

Everything in this book comes from before 1914, with a few exceptions. All the paintings, drawings, and sketches are real and come from collections all over the world. I cannot thank the people who digitized the works that went into this enough. Everything in this is real so you have a connection to these travelers that is personal and based on truth.
