Some people are irreplaceable. All through Croatia that person seems to be the same. Dida. The bond between grandsons and grandfathers runs deep here. Seldom can you find a man who doesn't have fond memories of working the fields or the fishing nets with his grandfather so that it seems like here the generations are bound by grandparents caring for their childrens' children. Rough skinned, browned by the sun on the hills or the glare of the waves, they are not soft men, but they are loved. Too little do we think of them while they linger, and too much once they're gone. To show beauty and excellence.
That has taken me to lots of places, from leading a Big Tech marketing team making hundreds of videos a year to a barren hill in Greece, alone just before dawn with a camera in hand.
For nearly a decade my prints were mostly for private collectors and friends. Now I'm making a limited number of them available to the public, as well as to institutions that share the same vision of having their spaces shine with beauty and excellence.
