Wine And The Dark Sea
Brendan Weston’s Wine and the Dark Sea transports you to the dramatic cliffs of the Pelješac Peninsula where Plavac Mali grapes thrive against impossible odds. Towering above the deep dark Adriatic, these hardy vines cling to rocky terraces under the relentless Mediterranean sun, the very source of Croatia’s most celebrated full bodied reds. The photograph masterfully contrasts the rugged karst stone and emerald vines with the vast indigo sea below, evoking both struggle and triumph. You can almost feel the warm wind, taste the salt in the air, and sense the generations of winemakers who have coaxed extraordinary flavor from this unforgiving yet magical landscape. This is art that tells a story of terroir, resilience, and passion. Wine and the Dark Sea brings the authentic spirit of Dalmatian winemaking into sophisticated interiors, a bold contemplative piece for collectors who appreciate fine wine, coastal drama, and photographs that capture the poetry of place.

About The Artist:
Brendan Weston
I shoot for beauty. There is no other explanation.
My work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and displayed across the US and Europe, including at foreign embassies and US Embassy gallery shows. But I've always had one goal.
To show beauty and excellence.
That has taken me to lots of places, from leading a Big Tech marketing team making hundreds of videos a year to a barren hill in Greece, alone just before dawn with a camera in hand.
For nearly a decade my prints were mostly for private collectors and friends. Now I'm making a limited number of them available to the public, as well as to institutions that share the same vision of having their spaces shine with beauty and excellence.
