Gentle lands make bad grapes. Here upon the rocky shores of the Peljesac Peninsula the grapes grow in vineyards high up on the cliffs. Hot sun and loose, karst stones would prove too much to most plants, and indeed the harvesters themselves struggle against the elements here. Yet the plavac mali grapes thrive in adversity. Their fruit is deep purple, and the juice crimson like blood. Only the harshness of the landscape here could make a grape with so much flavor, and a wine so cherished down through many generations. Bring the magic of the Peljesac wine region to your home with this exclusive print.

About The Artist:
Brendan Weston

I shoot for beauty. There is no other explanation.

My work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and displayed across the US and Europe, including at foreign embassies and US Embassy gallery shows. But I've always had one goal.

To show beauty and excellence.

That has taken me to lots of places, from leading a Big Tech marketing team making hundreds of videos a year to a barren hill in Greece, alone just before dawn with a camera in hand.

For nearly a decade my prints were mostly for private collectors and friends. Now I'm making a limited number of them available to the public, as well as to institutions that share the same vision of having their spaces shine with beauty and excellence.
